As a child of twelve years old, Gregory Giarikos began his apprenticeship at a furniture factory in Greece. As his passion for wood and furniture construction began to grow, Gregory found it was matched only by his imagination and his skills as a modern-day artisan. Gregory immigrated to the United States in 1967, married his lovely wife Angie in 1980, and they returned to Greece for another seven years. In 1987 Greg and Angie moved back to the United States and founded Apollo Custom Woodworking, Inc. in Cleveland in 1991. From their original 2,000 square foot location, they moved their business to a 5,000 square foot shop and showroom located on two acres in Strongsville in 2003. We met with Greg and Angie recently, and listened as they outlined their company's unique capabilities and offerings;

Rather than building with nails and staples, we prefer to remain true to traditional techniques such as dovetail, tongue in groove, dowel, and bisquit and glue construction. Each piece is then hand sanded between each coat of lacquer to deliver a level of perfection seldom found in modern craftsmanship.
