In 1938, William Malcolm Brooker began selling life insurance for Prudential out of an office in Parma, Ohio, and shortly afterward expanded his lines of coverage to include property/casualty insurance. In 1961, he was joined in business by his son Malcolm and the name of the company was changed to Brooker and Sons. The company moved to Strongsville in 1971, and in 1985 Malcolm D. Brooker, Jr. joined his father and grandfather in the growing family business. In 1990 they built the present home of the company just down the street from their original Strongsville location, providing not only ample quarters for future expansion but also a familiar architectural landmark on the Strongsville horizon.
