When Mike chose to get back into the office equipment industry after college in 1984, he went to work for the company that had purchased his family's business and worked for them for nine years. By the early 1990s his employer had fallen on rough times financially due to their rapid growth, and Mike saw an opportunity to reclaim and rebuild his family's business. He opened Erie Business Machines, Inc. in 1993 and has spent the past eleven years continuing to expand upon his family's reputation for quality office machines and impeccable customer service. Erie Business Machines, Inc. provides sales and service of new and used office equipment ranging from copiers and typewriters to fax machines and laser printers, and the supplies needed to keep them running smoothly. In addition to new and used office machines, we also carry refurbished equipment. These machines might be a year old and have been completely refurbished by the manufacturer. They carry the same guarantee as a new machine, but offer a substantial savings over buying the same piece of equipment new.
We're not one of the largest office machine companies in the Cleveland area, but we are one of the biggest believers in providing top notch customer service. We not only service the equipment we sell, but we'll also provide service for equipment you've purchased from another office equipment dealer or even a discount center. We provide follow-up service and repair work on both a "per call" basis and through annual service contracts. We strive to do all service and repair work on-site, but, if we do need to return the equipment to our shop for servicing, we'll make sure you have a "loaner" to use until your unit has been repaired. If you purchase a machine from us and renew your service contract every year, you're never going to have to buy a replacement piece of equipment. Our service contract guarantees that we're going to continue to keep your machine running as long as the manufacturer is making parts for your machine and we continue to have the service contract on it.
Although we're not tied to any particular manufacturer, we try to steer you toward makes and models that are known for their reliability and longevity. We know we're going to be servicing your equipment for a long time and the last thing we want to do is sell you a machine that is going to be a service nightmare. We plan to be with you for the long haul and want to make sure the machine's going to suit your needs and work properly with a minimal amount of maintenance.
We try to keep our vans stocked with all of the parts and supplies you could possibly need, but if we do need to place a special order for you, we can place the order today and have the item for you tomorrow. We don't charge for delivery of supplies and, in most cases, we're cheaper than the big discount centers, especially if you order a quantity of an item.
Our service area includes most of Northeastern Ohio from Ashtabula and Conneaut to Youngstown, Willard, and Sandusky. We service small in-home businesses and multi-million dollar companies alike, and we try to respond to every service call within two hours. We do have an eight hour guaranteed response time and if we don't get to your home or office within eight hours, we'll provide you with a 10% discount on the service call or any supply purchase.
