In the late 1980s, Helen Wilhelm was searching for something she could do one day a week, something that would be just for her, fun, relaxing, and thoroughly enjoyable. She and a girlfriend opened a little one room store in Chagrin Falls that was often frequented by customers from Strongsville, North Royalton, and Brunswick who would ask, "Why don't you open a store in our area?" By the end of the store's first year, Helen decided to move to Strongsville, where she began scouting for an entire house that could hold something for everyone. She found the perfect house at 17960 Pearl Road. At that time, this section of Pearl Road was almost entirely wooded, without another business in sight. Helen applied for, and received, a variance from the City of Strongsville that would allow her to place her store in a home. She began to fill the entire house with a wide selection of items, and has been making friends daily since 1989. We toured Helen's dream house recently, and listened as she outlined her store's offerings;
